Program Description:  Continuing Education Credits

In 2016, there were a few key laws enacted and proposed that impact Trusts and Estates.  This program will discuss:

  • Washington Directed Trustee Act.  How does the Act change prior law?  What are fiduciaries liable for with respect to acts of other advisors?  What remains to be determined by case law?  How best to utilize this moving forward and potential traps?
  • Uniform Fiduciary Access to Digital Assets Act.  RCW 11.120.  What is it?  How do your clients take advantage of the new provisions?
  • Proposed Trust Decanting Statute.  What does it do?  How might practitioners use it?
