Speaker Biographies:

 

Kit Mac Nee, CFP®, CRPC®, AEP®

 

Kit, a financial services veteran, joined Morgan Stanley as a Financial Advisor in Pasadena, CA in 2013 and is currently with the Envision Legacy Group in Beverly Hills, CA. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, she was with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management for nearly nine years. On her way to becoming a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER, Kit served a community foundation in Southern California as its Director of Gift Planning. While at the community foundation she worked with donors and local charitable organizations to gain philanthropic assets that would provide a legacy of financial resources. Today, she uses her financial-planning proficiency to serve as a volunteer, board member, and consultant to guide families and charities toward more secure financial futures.

 

Kit raised three children, all now grown and leading fulfilling lives from coast to coast. She lives in Los Angeles and travels throughout Southern California and the U.S. to support clients as well as the community groups she works with. Her volunteer work continues as a 2024 President for NAEPC and as a board member of St. Barnabas Senior Services. Kit is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management, earned the Certified Specialist in Planned Giving® from California State University Long Beach, American Institute of Philanthropy in 2001, and became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER and Accredited Estate Planner® designee in 2013.

 

Dan Cheyney, CPA

 

The national practice leader of the firm's Automotive & Dealer Services Practice, Dan has been in public accounting since 1996, working exclusively with dealerships. Prior to his career with Moss Adams, Dan served as the internal auditor of a local dealership group. In 2000 Dan received the firm’s Excellence in Consulting Award for his development and use of dial-in technologies in dealership consulting. He has authored numerous articles in industry publications and presented and co-presented at national and state association conventions, including NADA, WSADA, OADA Tri-state convention, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants National Dealer Conference.

Chris Keizer

 

I joined Corporate Advisory Associates in 2020 and have more than seven years of professional financial experience, having previously worked in banking regulation and within the internal audit function of a regional bank. Working with the firm’s senior staff, I perform business valuations for many purposes including gift and estate related projects, internal transfers of ownership, option grants, and tax and financial reporting. I have experience valuing equity interests in a wide variety of industries, as well as debt securities and promissory notes.

 

Outside of work, you can find me with my wife, two children, and our golden retriever (hopefully, fishing in one of the Inland Northwest's beautiful lakes or rivers!).

 

Mike Mumford, CEPA® CRPS®

 

Senior Vice President–Wealth Management

 

Mike has been with the Spokane, WA office of UBS (PaineWebber) since April 1988. Mike is an alumnus of Eastern Washington University (1981) with degrees in Finance and Economics. Mike also played college football for the EWU Eagles. He has lived in Spokane, WA since 1966. Mike has previously served on the Board of Directors of the EWU Foundation (Eagle Athletic Fund). He has worked extensively with small business owners and business retirement plans. Mike is the proud father of a daughter, son and two step-sons. He enjoys golf and travel in his leisure time.

Billy is a tax attorney whose practice focuses primarily on transactional business matters and estate planning.

 

Billy represents organizations in the design, implementation and operation of Employee Stock Ownership Plans (“ESOPs”). In addition, he counsels clients on business entity formation choices, including the tax issues involved with S-Corporations, LLCs and Partnerships. Billy’sestate planning practice includes advising clients in estate planning and probate law, as well as probate litigation. He advises representatives in the administration of wills and trusts, represents beneficiaries in disputed wills and trusts and the drafting and negotiation of TEDRA agreements.

Jim Maxwell, CEO Rockwood Retirement

Maxwell grew up in Great Falls, Montana. He attended University of Montana, in Missoula, and graduated in 1993 with a degree in business administration with a dual emphasis in accounting and financial management.

 

In 1994, he got a job with Spokane-based LeMaster Daniels PLLC, now known as CliftonLarsonAllen LLP, in the accounting firm’s health care department. Rockwood was one of Maxwell’s clients at LeMaster Daniels, which is how he met Curryer. Maxwell worked for the accounting firm until 2003, at which point Curryer recruited him to Rockwood. Working as a CFO was “a whole different world of experiences” compared to his auditing role at LeMaster Daniels, although he says becoming familiar with auditing and reimbursement work helped him in his transition to Rockwood, which he describes as a dynamic organization. “I don’t think there’s ever been a time where I’ve been bored,” Maxwell says.
